Mike McGlynn and the TV 3 Issue

Dear Readers:

Enclosed is a letter sent on March 8, 2009 to members of the City Council, the press, City hall and the general public. More information to post soon.

City Council

Medford City Hall
Medford, MA 02155

Dear City Hall and members of the press:

Does anyone find it odd that in another election year TV 3 Medford is
still not available to the public?

This is a formal demand for Mayor McGlynn to give the residents
information - and for Mayor McGlynn to shut down the nonsense at 5 High
Street and give this community an access station like Malden, Winchester,
Stoneham, Somerville, Cambridge and other cities and towns have.

MCGLYNN STALLING FOR HIS RE-ELECTION BID?

Without criticism from citizens on Channel 3, McGlynn will have an easier
time getting elected. Is this why he is aiding and abetting the censoring
of residents? The lawyer for TV 3 called His Honor an affectionate "cuz"
for cousin in a court of law.

In the frivolous cases TV 3 has thrown at people - including the city
itself - a 1st Assistant Clerk has written that the AUDIT of TV 3 is
mandatory as part of the Discovery process. This was written on 11/19/08.
The attorney for TV 3 threatened to kill me in that hearing, in one
hearing prior to that, and in two subsequent hearings on Dec. 8, 2008 and
Jan 7, 09.

With friends - or cousins - in high places - people can get away with
murder...or at least threatening to kill someone.

The public wants OPEN ACCESS to discuss the upcoming election. The
programming on the station is either by board members or ex-boardmembers
with a tiny minority from the public participating. It has been this way
since Mayor McGlynn took office in 1981.

Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. and their dear friend Paul A. Camuso
will attempt to tell you that these legitimate complaints to City Hall are
what has kept people away. Oh really? The membership has been low since
1981. My first complaint to City Hall was lodged with Diane McLeod and
Mark Rumley in 2003. Six years have elapsed and the problems are still
the same at Medford Community Cronyvision.

Because of the Mayor's inability to provide oversight since 1981, members
of the community have had to defend themselves from unwarranted attacks
made by the small clique at TV 3 - victims include Mark Rumley,
Phyllis Buccio-Notaro, Carolyn Rosen, Dr. Wood, Mary Fiorello, myself and
many others.

IN order to fight the smears, as Barack Obama majestically did, I have put
a website together http://tinyurl.com/jvquotes

Another website will focus on McGlynn's actions - positive or negative -
in regards to Access Television.

Since the Performance Evaluation(s) on October 30, 2008 and Nov. 15, 2008
City Hall has been remarkably silent about the audit of the station and
the Honorable Judge Marie O. Jackson-Thompson's recommendations to City
Hall.

Mayor McGlynn is obligated to help the 60,000 or so Medford residents get
access to Channel 3.

Right now we only get old movies, JibJab.com, or board members of TV 3 or
its staff with their propaganda and lies about what a great job they are
doing for the community.

Keep watching the McGlynn blog for updates on TV 3 Medford.

Sincerely,

Joe Viglione
